Sempach & Littau

The season is slowly coming to an end. The days getting shorter and the mountains of data slowly, slowly getting smaller. I had the joy of accompanying wonderful, exciting, fun, playful, crazy and loving couples with their very personal dream weddings this year. Last, but certainly not least, this sweet couple.

A winding path passes by rustic farmhouses, stalls and cows, through the central Swiss countryside leading to a little piece of paradise. This is where I started my report last weekend, in the beautifully renovated farmhouse owned by the lucky wedding couple. The lovely bride to be was just adding the finishing touches with all the little carefully selected details, getting ready for for her big day.

Just 5 minutes away, the groom was also buzzing with excitement with his groomsmen before getting to see his future wife as a bride for the first time.

On the quiet shores of lake Sempach, we took our time for the photos of the bridal couple. For those, who are not too nervous before the ceremony, this is a good solution, to then get to enjoy the day with their guests.

The wedding took place at the city hall, where once again the theme of rustic wood carving matched the day perfectly and made for a lovely Swiss theme. The ceremony was very sweet, especially passing around the rings to all the guests, for well wishes, before the exchange, was a nice touch.

After congratulations and family photos, we went back to the wedding couples’ home. If you already have such a perfect place, you just have to enjoy the celebrations here! Decorated with a lot of love by the bride and groom’s mothers and the groom's sister. Old farmhouses and barns are a true treasure trove of perfect or original places to capture the rings and bouquet. That's why I took some time to do this here in addition to photos of the celebrating guests. By the way, the rings are decorated with wood from the farm and an image of the surrounding mountains hand crafted in white gold, truly small works of art!

In the evening we all moved on to the Hirschpark in Littau, where I just made it to take my favorite sunset shots and, of course, to capture the decorations. The high heel garage with flip flops, for the party in the evening, is a super idea and was probably greatly appreciated by quite a few guests!
I'm sure they all celebrated into the early hours of the morning!

Thank you for letting me accompany your special day with my camera! You are a wonderfully uncomplicated and sweet couple, that certainly has a future full of love ahead! I wish you a lifetime of happines!
